We strive to give you the best possible leather. As a by-product from the meat industry and population control, we believe, that the leather we use is the most luxurious and ecological there are. The origin of leather is the wilderness of Finland and this nature’s material is tanned at the Ahlskog Tannery, in Finland.
Leather is nature’s product and it’s only natural that it showcases subtle variations that are not flaws. We are not afraid of showing these signs of life. We respect life too much to waste any precious leather. That’s why we are also using the parts where scars and other marks can be found. Every article is truly a unique piece.
Reindeer (Rangifer tarandus) hides are a by-product that provides exclusive material for unique, luxurious leather products. After triumphs and errors, we now know that reindeer leather is particularly suitable for producing garments and accessories.
This raw material of limited availability is truly something luxurious from Finnish nature. Reindeer meat is the most important source of income for reindeer herders in Finland and Scandinavia.
The touch and feel are silky and the size of the skins allows us to create beautiful designs with very few seams and unlined garments. Reindeers are living wild which means that leathers and suedes will have marks from nature.
WHITE-TAILED DEER LEATHER
White-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus) hides are a by-product of population control. The touch and feel are soft as butter and the grainy texture brings you closer to nature’s true spirit.
